 I composed “This Boy” on a weekend, sometime in mid Sep. ’09. The chords were just some easy power chords, I hope you like it! Here’s the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmLm5Iiq4ew

I met him in a treehouse that one summer day
Playing his guitar to a song that he made.
He had a sorry look on his face, one so sad.
I wondered what had made him feel so bad.

But I never knew what had been done
To make this boy feel like he had done wrong.

 He looked up at me, I tried to walk away.
But then he stood up and said, “Please stay.”
I didn’t know what to do, but I said, “Okay”
And that is when I learned his story what I had to say.

He told me about his life, what had been done.
He talked about how he tried to stay away and run.
I felt so sorry for this boy I had just met.
He smiled at me and said, “Please don’t fret.”

That’s when I knew I’d fallen in love.
I just hoped he would love me as much.

We kept going to the treehouse to talk.
This continued for weeks, but then it stopped.
I thought that he avoided me, but not for long.
It turns out this was not the case, I was wrong.

He was at the hospital and I didn’t know.
He was abused so badly that they made him go.
I visited him everyday until they let him out.
That’s when he said he had something to talk about.

We headed to the treehouse the place where we met.
A meeting I knew I would never forget.

He started to speak, but I told him, “Wait,
I’ve loved you ever since we met on that day”
He looked at me with an embarrased look on his face.
He said, “I’m so happy ’cause I feel the same way.”
